The location of the hotel was excellent, with easy access to nearby attractions and a stunning view from the lounge area. The fixtures and fittings were comfortable and well-maintained, adding to the overall appeal of the property. Additionally, the staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome and ensuring a pleasant stay.
One of the main drawbacks was the lack of activities and things to do in the immediate area. While the hotel itself was lovely, there was not much to explore or do nearby without a car.

The lodge itself and the surrounding gardens at Dove Lodge were absolutely stunning! I couldn't get enough of the beautiful views and enjoyed having breakfast while admiring the garden every morning. It was also impressively clean and well, maintained. the hosts, Peter and Judy, were truly lovely and made our stay even more enjoyable. We brought our 6, month, old cockapoo with us, and the lodge was perfect for accommodating our furry friend. I would highly recommend Dove Lodge as a wonderful place to stay and would love to go back again!

The location of the lodge was ideal, with stunning views and just a short walk into town. the peacefulness of the surroundings made for a relaxing stay. the hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. They even provided us with a lovely welcome gift of prosecco, milk, and homemade ginger biscuits.
That the noise from the living area could be heard quite loudly in the bedroom downstairs, which affected our sleep. the layout of the lodge with a double and single bed in the same room limited privacy, especially when traveling with a child.

We had an amazing stay at a lovely lodge with a modern yet cosy feel. The room had a double bed and a single bed, which was perfect for our family. The owner next door was incredibly welcoming and the lodge had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen and delicious homemade ginger biscuits. The property itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and had stunning views of lush hills and impeccably manicured gardens. The owners were charming and left us thoughtful goodies like eggs, soft drinks, and even prosecco. It was truly the nicest property we've stayed in over the years.
The morning meal could be improved with a wider range of options.
